Karana-Citta
Sanskrit: कारणचित्तTransliteration: Kāraṇa-Citta (IAST)
Translation: “the causal mind; the cosmic mind”
Definition: According to the Yoga school, the causal mind is all pervading like ether.
कारण – Kāraṇa – “instrument”; cause; the efficient or instrumental cause (from the causative form of the verb root kṛ = “to make, to cause to make”)
चित्त – Citta – consciousness; mind; thought; apperception (from the verb root cit = “to perceive, observe, know”)
