Ekam-Eva-Advitiyam
Sanskrit: एकम् एव अद्वितीयम्Transliteration: Ekam-Eva-Advitīyam (IAST)
Translation: “one only without a second”
Definition: A Great Saying (Mahāvākya) which occurs in the Chāndogya Upaniṣad of the Sāma Veda. It denotes the Absolute (Brahman)—either as the sole Reality or as the Reality which is blemishless.
एकम् – Eka – alone, solitary, single, happening only once, that one only
एव – Eva – so, just so, exactly so; indeed, truly, really
अद्वितीयम् – Advitīya – without a second, sole, unique; matchless
