Prajnanam Brahma
Sanskrit: प्रज्ञानं ब्रह्मTransliteration: Prajñānaṃ Brahma (IAST)
Translation: “consciousness is the Absolute”
Definition: A Great Saying (Mahāvākya) which occurs in Part 3, Chapter 1, Verse 3 of the Aitareya Upaniṣad of the Ṛg Veda.
प्र – Pra – before; forward, in front, on, forth (mostly in connection with a verb, esp. with a verb of motion which is often to be supplied; sometimes repeated before the verb)
प्रज्ञान – Jñāna – wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, discrimination, judgment
ब्रह्म – Brahma – the one self-existent Spirit, the Absolute
