Aham Brahmasmi
Sanskrit: अहम् ब्रह्मास्मिTransliteration: Aham Brahmāsmi (IAST)
Translation: “I am the Absolute (Brahman)”
Definition: A Great Saying (Mahāvākya) which occurs in Part 1, Chapter 4, Verse 10 of the Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad of the Yajur Veda.
अहम् – Aham – “I”
ब्रह्म – Brahma – the one self-existent Spirit, the Absolute
अस्मि – Asmi – “I am”
