Transliteration: Avidyā-Vṛtti
Translation: "a mode of ignorance"
Definition: "A modification of ignorance. It gives knowledge of illusory objects; internal states of the mind like pleasure and pain; and knowledge (Jñāna) and ignorance (Avidyā), according to Advaita Vedānta. This knowing is done by the witness consciousness (Sākṣin)."
